In addition to writing every day, another tip I really ‘got’ from James Scott Bell during the webinar was his advice to “Write Hot, Revise Cool”.
Write the story with passion.
The same passion you feel when you get hit by ‘the idea’. The same passion that drives you to write in the first place.
What is it about this story that you couldn’t resist? Keep that ‘heat’, the passion, and write fast with that pushing you.
By writing hot, the story will not only drive you, but it will go off in great, and unexpected paths. As a writer, I love it when something pops out of the blue like that.
Next week, I’ll talk about Revising Cool. Until then, here’s the 7EDs week:
Remember, If you want to join in, Place your goal & how you’ll be tracking in the comments. Then, on Mondays, come back and let us know if you achieved it each day.
***I’ll be updating through the day as the dwarves check in.
